Several Sudbury students will perform in Commonwealth Ballet’s full-length story ballet of Beauty and the Beast on March 17 and 18, 2018 at Regis College’s Casey Theatre in Weston.

Under the artistic director of Chip Morris, Commonwealth Ballet will bring this family-friendly classic ballet to life. Commonwealth Ballet dancers are joined by a cast of young dancers and guest artists, performing to the music of Respighi.

In the classic tale of true love, when Belle asks her father for only a rose, the simple act of plucking the beautiful flower from a bush during his travels ends with a death sentence from The Beast. Belle courageously offers her life in place of her father's. The ugly beast falls in love with Belle and the stage is set for the discovery that true love is based on inner beauty.

Performances will be held March 17 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. and March 18 at 1:00 p.m. Recent Commonwealth Ballet performances have sold out, so order early for best choice of performances and seating. Parking is free.

Tickets can be purchased at www.commonwealthballet.org.
